|A comprehensive missions gathering of churches of Christ to advance domestic and global outreach. Planning is led by a Steering Committee of missions leaders across the nation.
Conference features include:
Purpose and Need
The Need for Such a Conference
The Purpose of This Conference
Churches of Christ are one of the largest missionary-sending organizations in the nation. In several respects we have performed well in our evangelistic outreach, yet the world is growing faster than our efforts. How can we deepen our biblical underpinnings, improve our strategies, concentrate our efforts and communicate more effectively with one another? This conference will enable us:
This is a global conference to bring churches of Christ together to focus on more effectively reaching our world for Jesus Christ.
The heritage we carry as the churches of Christ is that we have evangelized, built schools and become a global movement of God, and now God is calling us to collaborate in order to respond to His call for redeeming the world in which we each live.
There will be 13 Workshops, each consisting of four classes, offered for those serving in various aspects of missions. Each workshop will be spread over the two conference days. Whether you are a missionary or missionary candidate, an elder, missions committee member, campaigner, Bible school teacher or simply a person interested in world evangelism, there will be workshops tailored to meet your needs. Tracks include:
Topic: Short-term Missions
Coordinated by: Mark Woodward
Topic: Missionary Care / Family Track
Coordinated by: Beth Reese
Topic: U.S. Missions
Coordinated by: Stan Granberg

Special Interest Session: America Is Calling
While taking the Gospel to the World, we do not want to lose focus on the country in which many of us live and work -the United States of America. One congregation, the Whites Ferry Road church in West Monroe, LA will share their story of how the people of America are coming to them, seeking spiritual answers. Several of the leaders will have a conversation about their experience. Come and learn from them. America Is Calling - a conversation with Whites’ Ferry Road leaders about how America is coming to them and what they are doing about it (4:15 on Saturday).
Taking time to talk together and share ideas, there will be about 20 different breakout sessions where we can get together, with others experienced in the area, to discuss positive ideas that work. Some of these discussions will be about advancing the gospel in specific geographical locations, and other discussions will be about types of work or methods to use. Rubbing shoulders, we can all learn from one another.
Friday, Oct. 17, 3:00-4:00
Saturday, Oct. 18, 3:00-4:00

There will be special times for others to learn from some different ministries that make their focus to reach people around the world. Plan to take the opportunities to learn from these ministries and how you can share in their journey. There will also be many exhibits where we can all learn from one another.

Meeting together, we will be inspired by major themes that touch our varied service to the Lord, whether through the local church or non-profit ministry, or on the mission field. We will offer a different focus on continents of the world to pray for the workers in those places.
